Lillith, meanwhile, was crouched beside Frazer, back turned to the miraculous resurrection, busying over his leg. So when she turned around and saw the bloodstained body clamber to its feet, she couldn't help but let out a yelp of surprise.
Alice's eyes darted from the collapsing body of the demon, to the two renegades she was supposed to be eliminating and to the resurrected guard now completely healed. A hand shot to her temple: what on earth had she gotten herself into?

Upon hearing Luska's options, the vampire froze dead in his tracks, his breathing loud and heavy as he attempted to control his rage. "Why are you doing this?" he growled.
"Consider it... payback," he spat.
Lillith's lips were now trembling, but she was past even tears as fear consumed her, yet she couldn't move an inch, in case the blade slipped...
"Luska, don't do this," she pleaded. "If you kill me whose body will you use? You can't stay in Kael forever..."
But Luska was beyond reasoning. "And what's to stop me killing him and taking yours? It's vampy's choice..." He glanced up at Frazer again, a satisfied

Chapter 16:

**KISS SCENE WARNING**

Lillith was on the verge of tears, and they began to trickle down her cheeks as she watched Frazer disappear, once again, deep into the mass of trees.
"Don't cry," crooned Luska, gently wiping the girl's cheek with his finger. His expression was sympathetic, apologizing, as he smiled gently down. Lil shook him off curtly, jerking her head away.
"Why did you have to do that?" she demanded, rounding on the demon.
"Do what?" he replied casually. "Give you a hug or slam him into a tree?"
"Both!" she cried, exasperated.
"Is it wrong to give somebody a friendly hug?" Luska asked, in mock-hur

Ten or so minutes later, Lillith and "Kael" were deep into the forest, searching around for food. Lillith had come across a tall tree stocked with rosy apples, and was now jumping on the spot, trying to reach them.
"Here, let me," Luska offered, pleased to make use of his superior height, and placed one hand gently on Lil's back while reaching up with the other. He handed several plump pieces of fruit to her, taking care to brush her hand with his more than a few times, smiling kindly- a feat that was not easily accomplished for someone so filled with loathing. Chapter 14:

Lillith awoke early the next morning, her eyes sliding gently open then snapping back shut against the harsh beam of sunlight filtering down through the trees. She was pressed close to somebody, their rhythmic breathing the only sound apart from the gentle rustling of the leaves overhead. She sat up carefully, glancing round to find Kael, drooling slightly, still fast asleep. Lil removed his jacket from her knees, laying it across him, smiling slightly.
Then she remembered Frazer, and quickly scanned around, her eyes lingering on the path he had vanished down last night. He probably won't be back til morning... K

Kael cocked an eyebrow then gently shook his head.
"He probably won't be back til the morning," he mused, pulling ruffling his hair. "You don't mind if I sit here with you?" he asked Lil, frowning slightly. Trust Frazer to just up and leave in the most awkward situations.
"Of course not," replied Lillith, patting the ground next to her, but she was staring in the opposite direction, squinting into the darkness where Frazer had just disappeared. :bulletorange: I knew as soon as my Dad said that "this is going to be a cracking sunset" that I'd need my camera. So I took it and ran outside in my PJs, jumping over the brambles and prickly things at the end of the garden, and I was rewarded with this amazing sight. It literally only lasted a few minutes, because when I tried to take some more pictures, it didn't look nearly as good.
Every so often we just get these amazing sunsets... And I can't wait to get my new camera, because I'll be able to capture them even more beautifully!
Also, credit goes to :iconblueamnesiac:, who de-noisified the entire picture and made it look fabulous :clap:
